We Are Not That
I care deeply for you,
Which is the reason that I hurt for you.
I know you’re confused,
Which is the reason that I try my best to help you.
But now what?
I try, but seem to never succeed.
I admire your presence.
I can go without a touch because you touch more than my body,
You touch my heart, mind and spirit.
You touch me on unimaginable levels,
Which is the reason why I say you please me without physical pleasures.
I have no doubt in my mind that you care for me.
But I do doubt that’ll last long because I’ve been through this many times.
But you sang a different song.
You unlocked my Pandora’s box.
We are supposed to uplift each other,
But each time we go to that level
I feel like we are slowly losing each other.
We are not that.
We are not that.
We are not that.
I tell you I can go without that.
When will you learn to believe me?
Because you came into my life at a time where no one believed in me,
Not even myself.
Now what do I have?
I believed in you.
I see us
Through your eyes.
And I want us to realize that
We need each other
To do better for the other.
