We Are One

We are stubborn and strong willed And our spirit can’t be killed We are hopeful and we beam And we all dare to dream Some of us are models And some of us aren’t But beauty crosses all our faces And our all our hearts We are calm and collected But we never do what’s expected We are careful and wise But sometimes we need a few good cries Some of us are old And some of us are young But we are all linked From generation to generation We are charming and rare And we all have something special to share We are trusting and assertive But we can be furtive Some of us are broken And some of us are healing But all our lives are somehow interweaving And in the end old or young We all learn from each other And become one.
