We Are One

You see me

Not just my face or my body

But my soul and my worth

You see the beauty through my eyes

That everlasting connection between us

When you grasp me, it’s with hands of love

That keep my balance when I start to fall

When I touch you, it’s with a kind heart

That paints new paths for us to walk down

Strong

Is what we are together

Peace

Is what I feel when I’m with you

Love

Is what we endlessly give each other

We have climbed the highest mountain

We have crossed the longest bridge

We have swum the deepest ocean

All along holding each other’s hands

But we are not afraid to let go,

Knowing the other will always return

Because we are one

One mind

One love

One heart
