We Are One

You say I write with no inspiration Just anticipation Of plans that are expected Respected But ultimately rejected By risk By dreams By new schemes and themes By people like you Who are "innovative" "Creative" Unique souls with unique roles Who are better than people like me People who believe in loyalty In morals In rules You try too hard and go too far To be the one The only The lonely But you are one of a billion A human A part of the race There's little space between you and I Between the rest No one has ever been or ever will be The best It's not sad nor happy Good nor crappy Just fact So swallow that Descend from your high horse And appreciate the simple things Keep dreaming And scheming But know your place and know mine In time We'll be no more than dust In that we can all trust
