We are the River

The tears, the pain

Like a splinter in your stomach

Remember good times?

This moment is so sudden

The betrayal, the lies

Destroying us today

People cry rivers

Flooding out the human race

Hearts are cracked, our lives are dark

It's one thing super glue cannot fix that fell apart

Rivers turn into oceans

The sun runs away

Nothing is left, but the moon

Darkness leads the way

Silent still Saturdays

No kids out these days

Adults want to rejoice

But their passions have gone astray

What has our world become?

Our heads are now spinning

Nobody now is grinning

And look at what we've done

And this is only the beginning

So splish, splash, splatter

The tears still come

We shake, we quiver

We cry so much, we're the river

Cole hatred follows us all

Swallowing our very lives

Plunging us into a deep dark ocean

We await our time to die

We drown in the darkness around us

But we do not change our ways

For the cruelty in the world

Shall never wander astray

We curse ourselves to hell

We never look God's way

For we think we have all the power

Which will be proven wrong someday

Someday when we are older

We will bow down on our knees and pray

'I wish that I would have listened

For now I am ashamed'
