We are so much more

A long time ago I was asked

What can you see?

As so I didn't know

What did this person mean

So I said what I saw

A  tree

This person grinned and said to me

It is so much more

So much more

From that moment their words huanted me

How can a tree be so much more

Pondering at what they said

Came to a conclusion one day

We will grow and branch out

Create our own paths to where we want to be

We strive to reach to the heavens

And find new discoveries

We are strong and resilliant

When the wind blows to make us fall

We stay rooted in what we believe

When the storm passes

 We are more beautiful

So I now see what the person meant

The tree is HUMANITY.
