We are young

We are young, but that doesn't mean we don't understand.

We are young, but that doesn't mean we can't feel nothing.

We are young, but that doesn't mean we can't do something.

We are the youth of this world, we are the future.

The future of this world is decided on the youth.

Yet, they let the youth bear on their shoulders the mistakes of the past.

They leave their troubles behind for the youth to fix.

Troubles that can haunt us, troubles for us to endure.

Sometimes these troubles are an endless cycle that clouds our mind,

clouds our judgement, and fuels our hate, our desires, our motivations.

The troubles of our past makes us stand on a crossroad.

We could follow the route less travelled by,

We can become our own leaders of our lives.

We are maybe young, but we can learn to understand.

We are maybe young, but we, too, have feelings.

We are maybe young, but we can do something.

We are the future leaders, though we are young we will make a difference.

Just a quick question: Was this inspired by Hollywood Undead's song "Young"?
