We Can Have It

Wrote our names

All over that town

Broken down

Lonely teenagers

You had me

By a string

Didn't want anything

The way I wanted you

You look at me

I look back

See those eyes

I could drown in

And now all I see is the lies

That never saw the light

An empty space

Memories

We can't replace

Or erase

Time we can't get back

We talk in circles

I cry so hard

Beating my fists

I feel it

Deep in my bones

You're so damn close

And I've never been so alone

You say

Baby come home

But I can't find you

Through all this fog

Too high a cost

I can't stand it

What we lost

I can't quit it

Chasing those people down

You can't let go either

You love me

I love you

We used to be

What everyone wanted to be

We had everything

Right in our hands

And now it's like

We're drifting

Lost at sea

But if you could only see

I'm right here

In front of you

Waiting

I'm right here

Same room

Same house

Memories in frames

On all these walls

I feel you

Your skin

The heat you radiate

I'm here

I'm right here baby

Turn around

See me

I see you

Just reach out

Touch me

Take my hand

We can break down these glass walls

If you want it

If I want it

We can have it
