We Could Read Under Trees

We could read under trees, I read to you, you read to me. Literature, essays, poetry and prose. Stuff from Shakespeare to Hemingway to Angelou to Poe. We could read in pure daylight or with flashlights under stars. We could write the way up to the Moon and Mars. We'd "...fall in love the way you fall asleep - slowly and then all at once..." Until we're pulled in by our dreams And you and I will be inseparable And it will be unconditional And we'll have a love like Augustus and Hazel Grace Minus the cancer And we'd live our lives Happily ever after It would be like a Nicholas Sparks novel come true You and me, me and you We could write cute notes in our books We could write cute stories outside the books But most of all, we'd fall from pages Taking our love through all the stages of literature This is how our love will be Like a fairytale, told through literacy.
