We Could Run Away
We could run away
From exhaustion
From being
Who we aren’t
We could run away
From who they
Want us to be
And tell us we have to be
We could run away
From loosing
What we love most
And who we love most
We could run away
From a future
Full of loss
And anxiety
We could run away
Away from pretending
Away from expectations
Away from reality
Away from the inevitable
Is it possible?
Only with you
We could run away
Like a fairy tale
Make a beeline from civilization
Into the great unknown
We could run away
And see everything
Do everything
Say everything we want
We could run away
And be what we dreamed
What we planned together
When we were young
We could run away
And be ourselves for once
Just the three of us
Better alone, best together, forever
We could run away
Fields of dreams
Mountains of bravery
Cities of ambition
Sunsets of infinite, true love
Do such places exist?
Only with you
