We Fit Like A Mosaic
You and I, we fit
just like a mosaic.
We are broken
bits and pieces.
Some shine in the light,
some are dull and faded,
some are sharp and newly chipped.
We are glass and stone
and tile.
We were born from broken bottles
and broken hearts.
We were born from stars shattering
and the wails of grieving souls.
We fight like spitfires and
rhyme and reason all
the same.
You and I, we fit
just like a mosaic.
We are different,
we don't connect like
puzzle pieces.
We are real and raw.
We are not soulmates
and true love's kiss.
We are human and here.
We are a mighty sight to behold
and an image that will hold true.
We are a masterpiece, yes
every one of our broken pieces is a
masterpiece.
You and I, we fit
just like a mosaic.
