we live but...


We live, But we aren’t really alive, We breathe, But the air suffocates us. We’re ‘ok’, But no one ever is, We remember, But really we’re forgetting, We hate, But it’s not necessary, We think, But never in an intelligent way, We smile, But wonder why, We cry, But assume no one else does, We love, But we seem to have forgotten what it means, We die, But sometimes we should fight to live, We need to love, To breathe, To say we’re not ok, To remember, To forgive, To ponder, To laugh, To fight, We need to remember what it means to live
