We Love

We fight

But it is how we fight that matters

We argue behind closed doors

Not screaming, or cussing, NO

We sit and talk it out

Because we know that our love is stronger than this fight

We kiss

Every day because it matters

When we argue, laugh, leave, and wake up

No, not to show our love but to speak the language

To hear each other

We kiss because it speaks louder than words

We plan

Our day, week, and life

Our dates, wedding, and dinners

To equal out our days

To make sure the other is heard

Because there are two lives merging together

We sing

Love songs, covers, and musicals

Even though we’re not good at it

To show we’re comfortable with each other

To help each other through hard times

Because we don’t always know what to say

This poem is about:
Me
My family
