We Love Because Christ First Loved Us

Because Christ first loved us

Our love is like the strongest braid

With you I never am afraid

Your love is like a bullet shield

Your love wraps around me and I'm healed

Although our love is strong

We aren't perfect and can do wrong

Because God's love for us in unique

To his glory will we seek

Together we were brought by his hand

To honor, glorify, and make a stand

For a lasting love, the greatest love, Christ's love

Because Christ First Loved Us
