We Meet Again...

Your soul etched an imprint

regardless of a slate,

a memory,

a love erased.

My blessed soul remains marked.

Long before sweet sunlight

kisses the bosom of the patient earth

I wake to witness such an art;

to witness a dark night until

her sun returns to enlighten her.

Your eyes met with mine,

but I first caught the glimpse of you

that left me eager to leap through

a window now open.

Yet I stood still, patient in a dark night

to witness such an art; enlightened.

I'm a curly girl with a love stricken heart as my write hand (pun intended), and a full time malenial/junior in college with subtle dreams of becoming a writer.
