We moved to Florida
"We Moved to Florida"
I was in a tough place
my mom could tell by my face
However she was in gloom,
We were both headed for doom
She was depressed
and I under stress fell out during lunch and caused a big mess,
I am now an Epileptic first in my time,
So sad to say I was right in my prime
Dosed up and medicated,
Happy Belated,
Nothing she said could make me ELATED
Then it happened,
My Uncle he died
Mom flew out to Florida where she said she cried
She came back full speed ahead
Hugged me so tight,
I swear I turned red
I have an idea she explained
We move to florida it'll be a total gain.
At first I was confused
but the more she spoke, I became amused.
Due dates and deadlines came and they went,
Something always stopped us,
As if this trip was hell-bent
Until that day which came in July
Me and my mom stood there Stupefied
The Hitch that never was finally came to be
We got the trailer, finally something good for this family
We would leave at five, give my sister a chance to say GoodBye.
My brother drove like a mad powerhouse,
In pouring rain, and all through the droughts.
Eighteen hours it would take in total
Luckily we were very hopeful
So we drove and drove
up and down many roads
until we reached our destination
that's when we both had a revelation .
We moved to Florida and
I smiled with glee
pleased to see what my new life would bring me.
I met new people, with very different tastes
I eventually made friends but not in a quick haste.
I was shy at first,
luckily there was juice to quench my thirst.
We moved to Florida
now it's a different life I lead.
Born anew, and proud to be
an american in this land of the free country.
Times were rough but they got better,
my mom got a job and I got a letter.
NSHSS claimed to want me
due to the grades I earned previously.
Eager and Excited,
My mom was delighted.
We moved to Florida
and it couldn't be better,
despite the crazy change in the weather.
