We Need Thinkers

We need thinkers We need wonderers Astonishers and questioners More questioners because we question nothing Like we don’t know what a question is We need to instigate interrogation Of those bringing complication to our nation Bring them in for questioning I don’t spit to mesmerize or entertain I spit to exercise debate And energize membranes Because ignorance is genocide to the brain And complacency is the same Now I’m not trying to make your ideals rearrange But this non-thinking new age needs to change If we would follow things we believe in Questioning things we are seeing Jersey Shore would not have had a second season And George W. Bush would have been indicted for treason There is a multitude of reasons why We should question things we believe Because we believe we are skipping on the yellow brick road When we simply tread a path that’s urine soaked All that glitters is not gold This is a pure assault as pure as salt To poke prod and provoke every lobe that makes a home in your dome And I don’t leave you alone until you can think on your on Please believe when I speak this piece it is not to deceive But really it is water for alcoholics Not what you want but what you need Think about it
