We only have us

Why do those we trust

Break our hearts in not pieces, but dust

Why to those we love

Use us as something to get rid of

Why do those who never work

Always get paid

And why do those who always work

Never get their own good day

Hope is lost

Trust is gone

Love is done

Hearts are shunned

At least I have me

The only one who can see

The pain, the darkness and cries

All topped with so many lies
