We Pass
tired,
so very
terribly tired.
craving a rest
that sleep can't provide.
fitful dreams
send me up
from the darkened depths
to bathe in heat
& my own feverish sweat.
i need you to want me,
i want you to need me,
but we pass each other
coming & going
with g'morns & g'nights
on our lips.
