We The People

it's all over the news,

every day and every night,

they show people injured and hurt,

they show victims and suspects,

all because of  a couple of rounds of amo,

all because of  a weapon being poorly used,

all because the second amendment that is two vague,

no it's all because of some people and the chaos they create,

we cannot blame a weapon made by mankind,

we cannot blame a gun that cannot pull its own trigger,

we cannot blame a bullet that doesn't aim itself purposely at people,

we can only blame those hiding behind the weapon,

we can only blame those who fail to protect us,

we can only blame those who hold a seat of power,

we can only blame those parties who refuse to agree,

we can only blame lawmakers and those suspects,

what we cannot do is change it,

it takes one person to make a difference,

and it takes the world to come together and make that change,

so I ask what will We The People do about this ongoing issue?

Iḿ M, I like reading, writing, cooking, acting, and helping others. Good luck to other poets out there, and never give up on your dreams. No matter how hard it seems.
