We Promised
I promised.
I promised, so even though you left me, I will never allow this love to slip from the strings of my heart. You made me feel something so unimaginable that the gods in the sky wouldn’t even be able to fathoms this feeling you provided
It was pure
It was perfect
It was delicate
It was like no other
And I thank you for being the one
I promised
I promised that this love was the only thing that made sense to the both of us. We executed it perfectly. This worked so well because we understood that there is no love without hardships. Without letting the person know that you’re here to listen, without showing them ever nook and cranny of your personality. There could be no love if you are not willing to work for it
Thank God that we were willing
You promised
You promised that nothing will come between us. But what happened my love? That Saturday morning when I couldn't get a hold of you. What happened? What was going through your mind when I hung up the phone that night. My love. What happened? Was it really time for the gods to call you up or was it something else. I don’t know. I won’t know. Don’t worry i'll be there when it's my time so we can fulfill our promises
You promised
You promised me that you were ok. You gave me no reason to not believe you. Everyday you told me how happy you were. My love, what part of this love did I do wrong. Did I not listen? did I not care? I asked you how your day was and how you were feeling. So baby what was missing. What was it that made you leave me the way that you did
August 2017
The start of a new school year. The first one without you. My first heartbreak is manifesting into reality. It wasn’t real. Now it is. Now that I don’t see you. Is it even fair. I didn’t even say goodbye. I didn’t tell you I loved you that night. My love, I remember you promised me. So I’m here telling you that I am going to live through you. You will see through the stars and the sky's the reason we fell in love. I won’t disappoint. I'll stay strong because I know you're right here with me
My love left me the summer of 2017 but she forever lives on
