We See Them
We see Athena
She rallies through the streets
Marching side by side with her fellow soldiers
Fist clenched tightly around picket signs
Fighting a war close to home
We see her
We see Hera
She dwells in the broken hearts of the cheated
Her voice is heard cursing the abusers
She dwells in the wholesome hearts of the lovers
Her voice as sweet as wedding bells
We see her
We see Demeter
Her voice can be heard cursing the action less powerful
Those who ignore our dying planet
She teaches the youth to care for the Earth
We see her
We see Artemis
She lurks in the darkness of the streets
Hunting those who would do harm
Protecting the vulnerable
We see her
We see Persephone
Her beauty in every warm spring day
With every new born flower
Her cry's heard from every funeral
For those who left too soon
We see her
We see them
In every woman
She is strong
She is beautiful
She is a force of nature
We see them
