We sit,Watch the days
We sit,
Watch the days go bye.
Every day,
I was more confused.
Watching my youth,
Slip out of my fingers.
Tomorrow,
Is graduation.
Tomorrow,
I will say bye.
Freshman year,
I started writing.
Just doodles,
Of my playful mind.
Expressing,
My thoughts.
Experimenting,
On paper as everyone did with eachother.
I sat in my room,
Confortable with my pencil and loose leaf.
The seasons changed,
But I kept writing.
Sophmore year,
A whirlwind of colors.
With the confusion of boyfriends,
I slowed my pencil.
But whenever I lost it,
I would find myself in the paper.
I knew I wasn't good,
But I felt like a rainbow with each masterpeice.
Each rain came,
And my paper would end in a whir of colors.
Junior year,
The struggles with grades drug me down.
Tears came,
And so did my rainbows of looseleaf.
The back and forth struggles,
With my busy life.
But my pencil and paper,
Always my catalyst to calm.
No ammount of speech or diet,
Could calm me like a pencil and paper.
Those flames running through my head,
Always calmed after i put the pencil down.
Tomorow is graduation,
Ill say goodbye to my friends.
Goodbye,
To my acquaintances.
Goodbye,
To the leaders.
Hello,
New friends.
Hello,
Senior year.
Hello,
Leadership.
Hello,
Future.
And hello pencil and paper,
My old friends.
