We WERE Happy!
We WERE happy,
You would hold my hand
As we walked along the river.
You would hug me
And say that I was
Your pretty little flower.
We WERE happy,
We were happy until
She came and devoured you.
With those hands
You would rather hurt
Instead of embracing me.
We WERE happy,
But she came and took
Over your body like a disease
With those lips
You would insult
Instead of complimenting me.
We WERE happy,
We were truly happy
But that was before she came.
