weak and meager feet

there are windows fogged with desperation a voice of reason lacking for a tired nation. kindred spirits, shift leaders, and overnighters, past lovers, lost wanderers and vengeance fighters. a blurry line between coffee steam and voucher handouts, seeking immortality, doped up on pills and fountains spouts. beauty in purity, dirty streets and information leaks. angelic face, cold and dissatisfied, and low life freaks. mirror fears with trashy minds, rejecting real. plywood walls with dried intentions, lost in setback, afraid to feel. 401ks and IRA pensions. egg yolks and fire places, cold noses and frostbit fingers. cold streets, inside piano players and young jazz singers. fire pits and drugs, turkey dinners with after dinner cigars. broken homes, private property, and political liars. homeless souls, church songbirds and homemade dinners. porcelain dolls and nothing left for the sinners. ocean waves and rigid mist, uncovered lies and clenched fists, a funeral for a friend, a broken heart for love. lovers and potluck, cookouts and a flying white dove. our sacrament and promise, sacrifice and sin.
