Wear a Smile as You Read This
Mothers and daughters,
Even though they fight
They always have that special bond
An unbreakable bond.
The females of the family
Stronger that one would think.
Doing so many jobs in one small place,
Yet are sometimes unappreciated.
Mommy thank you for these long years.
I may not be the best child,
But you should know one thing
I'm trying hard for you.
Sure enough we've argued a lot,
And we've had our disputes here and there.
There's one other thing to know
To know that I love you.
I want to make sure one more thing,
That after I leave for school
Wear a smile as you read this.
Yes we've had our times in the past,
But right now is the present.
We shouldn't focus on those things,
And plan more on our future.
To work towards our goal,
So I can make you happy.
There were times where we have been
Angry at each other.
There were also those times
Where our happiness shined brighter.
There were even times where I have been
Not much of a daughter,
But I hope you know another thing
That I am trying for you.
Mommy thank you for these long years.
I may not be the best child,
But you should know one thing
I'm trying hard for you.
Sure we've argued a lot,
And we've had our disputes here and there.
There's one other thing to know
To know that I love you.
I want to make sure one more thing,
That after I leave for school
Wear a smile as you read this.
Even though once I detested you
For constantly making me do things for you.
I might even still detest you a bit
But don't worry it won't grow.
I may not want to be a mother like you,
I want to be much better.
Now I only have one last thing
To tell you as this song comes to an end.
I want you to do me a favor
Wear a smile, as you read this.
