Wearing the Mask

I wear the mask,

It hides all emotions.

My happiness, sadness, even my madness.

Behind this Mask;

I'm Broken,

Never to be fixed again.

The mask makes it easier

To deceive.

I might look happy,

Yet the voices and my soul

Are stricken with sadness.

I'm scared to show people

Who I truly am.

The mask helps.

Taking it off?

Never an option.

Using the Mask

Helps hide,

It hides my feelings.

No one, not even I can handle it.

I put the mask on,

So, I make everyone happy,

Yet I can't seem to please to myself.
