Weary One

Weary one Bloodshot eyes that see no more You've looked too long Your sight too strong So struck by that which you adore All reason gone The fighting's done But can't move on The chaos lives in darkness now This blackened dawn No logic in the why or how These unforgetful memories Do spite the sun and shut it out here in your mind it's all you see This branded, cruel reality That lives in you And will not leave For love, when true, Will never die And so it stays, In you, inside, Distorts itself into a lie You know it's false, You know it's true, It festers int the heart of you Old memories become your life 'Til to the world, you are blind.
