Weave: The Mental Disease

In 3rd world countries ... Billionaires Roam from India to China collecting real hair Bald young women living in despair Paid nothing to provide hair for black women, that ain't fair You'd think African Americans would be more aware The way they throw that flair as if they don't care For the next few weeks other chicks don't compare But when the weave is no good they start having nightmares They avoid going natural, it's a shame High maintenance of afros make them go insane And I find it strange... They invest in something that'll go bad like meat Won't ever wash the weave got it smelling like feet They feel incomplete They don't know they're making the African race look weak Asians know exactly what I'm saying Prevailing with blazing booming business Collecting their riches over something so irrelevant as ... Hair that's dead Working the nutrients products, But the hair can't be fed Could have gotten dreads or braids instead If only women could go to a beauty shop and skip on the artificial threads

Cortez The Conqueror

I'm just exploring a new talent! Summer of 2013 was a depressing summer when I happen to stumble apon the works of Dante Basco. I knew of him, but never knew he wrote poetry. I started exploring Def Jam Poetry listening to artists like Beau Sia and Shihan. NEVER HAVE I BEEN SO INSPIRED BY OTHER HUMANS!
