Weaved In With My Soul

Like blood pumping through my veins,

Music flows through my core.

It is what keeps me sane, it's pull is hard to ignore.

'Tis what brings life to the dead and beauty to the gray,

I cannot go without it for even one day.

Weaved in with my soul, it is present all the time,

To ignore its sweet sound would be a true crime.

Music bares the truth and what cannot be said,

It connects one another like needle and thread.

It brings light to the darkest corner and color to an empty page,

It spreads warmth through our hearts and frees the trapped from their cage.
