The Web

Jumping from star to star

light gets left in my path

to weave an intricate web

I retrace my steps

to fix tears

to stop burns

to untie knots

Self-inflicted catastrophe is everywhere

I must rush to keep the web from being destroyed

yet there is only so much one person can do

So I leave the web to its own doom

for amist the self-inflicted catastrophe

Someone might save them

But it won't be me

I am done fixing their mistakes

They are alone

For now.
