Wedding Chaff

                           pipe organ music
sound we hear in no place
                                        other than church

where we cannot feel at home
                                  stained as we are
                                          in colors not revealed

                                  on earthy palette
                                  nor clear sky frame

                            captured only as shade
                                  inside this grain of rice
                                          chaffed by polished shoes
