Wedding Night

Lace curtains and silken skin

Shadows fall and slither in

Icing drips down bells that rang

Lilies call the birds that sang

Sickeningly sweet and grim

Sunset falls on summer's whim

Bones that glow through dirt and grime

Love that tastes of bitter lime

Lost is lived and life is lost

Precious blood spilled filled the cost

Beauty bright was dressed in white

This was quite the wedding night
