This Weeks Joke

They say that pain is the root of all laughter.

That's only true unless you're the victim.

Words that are like knives are revealing old wounds

You're a strong willed person

Why are you taking this to heart?

You hear the laughs

and you see the gazes

as you walk through the halls.

You're biggest insecurity

exploited, shown to the world

you're feelings are inevitable.

But you can't be THAT girl.

Just laugh it off

it really isn't that bad.

but who's to say unless you're going through

all that I have had?

I continue to walk down these narrow halls

occupied by people who mess with your brain.

They make fun of my teeth, the way I walk and talk

the next photo, status, or tweet

Everyone look at them

Although It'll be someone new by next week.

Walk with your head held high

it will only last so long.

But a minute feels like eternity when all eyes are on you

staring at the blank held expression

trying not to let your feelings show through.

With watery eyes and a shaky voice

you hear the church bells ringing

you hear the school bells ringing

you hear the cell phone ringing.

That's just it; life goes on

and your alarm is ringing.

Inside your brain you hear it go off

the warning before all falls through.

No one will understand what's to come next

because they don't understand you.

Hold your head up high, Love.

Keep it together for you.

You're a strong willed individual

and you will make it through.

It started as an attempt for scholarships and it easily became my life.
