Weeping

Beeping, weeping, beeping, weeping Fingers tightly squeeze together. Weeping, beeping, weeping, beeping As Comfort scatters in the air. Beeping, weeping, beeping, weeping Colored lines dart across a screen. Weeping, beeping, weeping, beeping Whispered questions float unanswered. Beeping, weeping, beeping, weeping. Figures stand, condoling statues. Why do we stand isolated? Why Do our lips not move when our hearts quiver? Why have we built up walls like the Ivory walls that confine this Partitioned room? In the room with The cold tile floor. The room with the Beeping, weeping, beeping, weeping. But it’s all in my head: the weeping. Nothing is said. The sound of beeping resonates-- Accompanied by an intake of breath, My only sign that you're still living.
