I lay here

Upon my bed

Thinking

Staring up ahead

Why am I so fascinated with death?

I get lost in the darkness

As the weight sets in

I'm back in this hole

All over again

I'm stuck

I try to cry for help

Instead a small “I'm fine” escapes

My chapped lips with loose words

Depression is a heavy word

It weighs down your world

And as I lay

I start to think

Maybe I truly do

Deserve all this
