Weightless

Last night, I cried my eyes out, over something I convinced myself was over and forgotten.
I kept asking myself how I ended up letting my soul hurt over nothing.
A sudden rush of guilt pushed me to kneel before my universe and start apologizing.
It's so funny how things you make light of, come back to hunt you, carrying a load of weight, then proudly going ahead to teach you certain laws of gravity.
Uncontrollable tears rushed quickly down my cheeks, trying to find comfort on my pillow.
I closed my eyes and opened them to the rise of the sun, and it felt like nothing had happened the night prior.
