Welcome to the Holy Land

What am I? Where do I come from?
I'm human, I'm American
I speak what you speak, I breathe what you breathe
What am I? Why am I here

As I walked down that fiery hall
I was scared, frightened, not knowing what to do
The scream inside me was real and alive

They tortured my sanity
What am I? Where do I come from?
Millions of questions pouring in
As I cried as if I am not one of you
Where am I? What did I do?

Tears pouring down my face
My innocence was lost
Who am I? What did I do?

Crying not knowing what to do
I asked and pleaded why? Why me? What have I done?
They stopped and whispered
It’s just you

Tortured with the scream
Numb with the voices in my head
I couldn't speak
What am I? What did I do?
Hours passed, trapped
An Innocence lost forever
Tears pouring, not knowing what to do
What am I? What did I do?
