Welcome to the Masquerade

What's real in this masquerade called life? Behind these masks Underneath the painted on smiles What's real? Deep down, past our hard mannequin shell Lies the bloody truth With every beat, every breath Every step, every word Masquerading happiness Nobody knows Nobody can ever know Cry yourself to sleep Scream into pillows Hide Come out Show your TRUE self Hatch from your fake shell Naked and vulnerable The world will know The healing will begin What's real in this masquerade called life?
