" Welcome Mat"

Her heart is like a welcome mat
She welcome different people in
But they left a lot of their foot tracks on her mat
They did not wipe
Nor did they reach for a broom
To clean the mess they left
They did not care for her mat
All the wear and tear it had
There is no repairing that.
Now She is left with a mat
That no longer reads welcome
But Leave Her Be .
