Welcome to "Me."
Welcome to my home, my head, my stage.
A place where I command all those around me, a place where I belong.
Because maybe I wasn't good enough at sports or maybe I just didn't have enough friends, and too many foes.
Tonight I shine like the moon that sits and stares silently in her pale beauty at the 7 billion ants too busy to notice her.
Tonight I remove my mask, my clothes, my skin, to show what is underneath. To show them who I am, and who I forever will be.
Welcome to my temple, my undeniable passion, my everlasting love.
I once heard the term "This is Our House", and this is mine.
I will not deny it. I cannot deny it.
My passion. My power. My place of solitude, where not only can I reveal my true colors but reveal my true convictions.
Because enough is never enough, and tomorrow morning I'll wake up and understand what it means to cry tears of joy because of the memories I made.
They called me "fag", "gay", and "theatre geek", but that's what made it all the better.
Because maybe you felt alone, or like you don't belong. But that's what they felt like too... the ones from the books, and the ones from the stories.
So hang in there, because one day you'll find your "happily ever after".
I've got my fix, I've had what makes ME tick. But I'll be back, again... and again... and again.
We do what we love not because we love it, but because we are in love with it.
Today, tomorrow, and forever we will be in love with it.
That... is what they mean by "Follow Your Dreams".
And so I welcome you. I welcome you to the place I like to call, me. Where passion flows freely without hinderance, but with liberated movement.
That is what will forever be what makes me, me.
