Welcome to The Playground

Welcome to the playground

Come try to make some friends

Enjoy the sunshine while it's here

Soak it up before it ends

Welcome to the schools

The place to drown your soul

Go ahead, trade it away

Then you'll never be alone

Welome to the back streets

Where the walls are thick with secrets

And the air is heavy with lies

The most and least important thing is stayin' alive

Welcome to the inner city

The land of making your own

Name, own money, own goals

All while tryin' not to lose your soul

Welcome to the suburbs

The place to feel at home

In the middle of all the sameness

How can you feel alone?

Welcome to the havens

Where the long-weary travelers reside

Don't be afraid to join them

There's nowhere else to hide

Welcome to nowhere

Darkness puddles on the ground

Though your family will miss you

It's where the only peace is found
