Went Digging
Went Digging
I was 18,lost, and I didn’t know where I was.
I Just left high school and a bad relationship with a person that I changed myself for.
I was going to college to work hard, graduate, and get a good paying job.
I thought that’s what I wanted to do, but knew that wasn’t the case
I had nagging feeling inside of me that I kept buried for years.
I had the shovel and buried it and faced reality
I went looking for myself and became a missing person to many
I lost friends
I lost connection with family
I worked and studied allot
I took a creative writing class in college
I was writing stories again
Again…
I played videos games, watched Films, enjoyed music, and art again
Again…
I saw my mother cry and stress over payments
I got 2 jobs and studied more
I didn’t enjoy it but did what was needed
I lost more friends, 1 died and was not invited to the funeral
I ask my dad for help and got the same responses
I had bills stacking
I became exhausted, insecure, and scared
I hit the bottom, removed the dirt, and there he was
Me
You are 19
You met a great girl
You are Intelligent
You are creative
You are a College honor roll student
You are blessed
You are stressed
You will push through
You are hard working
You will help your mother
You will meet great people
You will screenwriter and direct
You will develop
You will inspire and give back
You will own your craft
You will achieve your dreams
It has to be you because no one else will
