Since We're Such Romantics

Since We're Such Romantics

You say "I love you" when things go wrong.

Because we love each other

I have always believe that together, we belong.

But when did love start becoming a chore?

Was it the fact that I belonged to you?

Or the fact that I chose you to be my lover

I knew it to be true.

I want to go back and try to understand

When did our relationship become so toxic?

Was it my mistake for letting you into my life?

I feel as though I am turning hypoxic.

Since We're Such Romantics

You control my life and I'd like to think it's okay.

But we're so in love

How could I ever give up this love anyway?
