West Egg
As nostalgia became my lover, reality became nothing but a mere green light
fondness warmed my being yet frigidity never left
I bathed with familiarity but not once did purity cleanse my skin
exploitation adopted me whole
and ignorance held my hand
While deception walked beside me and pain not too far behind
and in the end there was you
beautiful and present
smiling like a fool
reflecting like a mirror
Now nostalgia has left me widowed and reality has become my white light
