Wet Snow

It started out there, somewhere else other than here

Evaporation, maybe some vapor,  a little fog perhaps?

Getting together and forming a cloud

and then

clouds

and then

traveling the sky as if looking for something

Today, the clouds found the spot

with a release the drops of water froze

falling softly with the others to blanket the ground below

oh yes

they came

One after another

after another

and then they became uncountable, covering everything

Except... One did not make it with the others.

No, it tried

It flew with the others, that is true

It was not slower than the others, and it blended well

but it was no match for my tongue which caught it;

melting in my mouth, it changed from snow

to

delicious.
