What About Life?
There are trees all around,
Grass on the ground.
My window is open,
I wish nature was the sound.
No birds, or barks,
Not kids frolicing in the parks.
Its cars and trains,
Police and planes.
It only takes a minute to sit down and hear,
All of the things happening near.
But how often do we do that?
I did it just now.
Do we even hear applause when we bow?
Or do we just think about all the time we put in to get there,
Was it worth it to go through the stress and the fear.
Fear of failure that things won't work our way,
An opportunity gone at the end of the day.
Come one, come all for this scholarship,
Just make sure you make something out of it.
