What About Me

I matter too right. Just because I don't always speak my mind doesn't mean I'm not paying attention. Just because I actively listen doesn't mean that everything is okay. And just because there is usually a smile on my face doesn't mean that I'm not splitting in two.  So what about me, I'm so easily forgotten and looked over. In the middle of a conversation, people walk away to the next best thing. I'm just a placeholder until you find something else to move on to. So what about me what about my pain and my tears. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean that there not there. At night I'm silently screaming gasping for air because I am tired. I'm tired of looking like I'm always happy. I'm tired of hiding my scars. I'm tired of starving this body and hoping that when I wake up ill be amongst the stars. So what about me are you understanding yet that fact that I could be someone you know and you wouldn't even notice. Remember to look for me in your memories and call my name when looking at the moon. Remember to take a deep breath and ask so what about you, too.
