What Am I?

Step... Step... Step...

Look now! What Have We Here?

By God, it's a Turtle! Taking her First Steps!

Shyly, Hesitantly, and on Wobbly Legs

Could You Ever Believe She Could Step Out of Her Shell

At Long Last?

"H... H... Hi..."

Look now! What Have We Here?

By God, it's that Turtle, Speaking her First Words

Stuttering, Quietly, and with Shaky Voice

Could You Ever Believe She Could Poke Out of Her Shell

And Speak Out?

"La... La... La..."

Look now! What Have We Here?

By God, it's that Turtle, Singing her First Notes

Bravely, Gently, and with Careful Notes

Could You Ever Believe She Could Stand By Her Own Will

And Sing Wonders?

"Leave Me Alone..."

Look now, What Have We Here?

By God, it's that Turtle, Tortured by Nightmares

Trembling, Crying, Scared of her Laptop

Could You Ever Believe She Would Befriend Pure Strangers

And Stay Lonely

"I... Found You..."

Look now! What Have We Here?

By God, it's that Turtle, Making a New Friend

Awkward, Friendly, and Cute Scruffy Hair

Could You Ever Believe He Would Become Her First Love

And Save Her?

"I'm Not Afraid"

Look Now! What Have We Here?

By God, it's that Turtle, Standing Here Today

Broken, Scarring, but Battle is Won

Could You Ever Believe She Could Face Depression's Curse

And Choose Life?
