What Awesome Strength
What Awesome Strength
By: Tyler Allen
A tale of a man whose life was filled with strife and struggle
He was fighting an uphill battle with period where he would slip and stumble
But he would never fall
His strong back and prideful nature kept him standing tall
Trudging through the mud on hill drenched in the rain
I was worried but He said “son don’t worry I can handle the strain”
“Keep your nose in the books and stay on the road,”
“And you sit back and watch me handle this load”
“For every problem a solution, every maze an exit, and every disease a cure”
“Son you must know our teamwork is imperative to the success of your future”
No matter what foil thing tried to obstruct my path he would stand up and smite
Even in my darkest of day he would tear through the shadows and rip apart the clouds to show me the light
Armed with timberlines and duct tape his foot was placed into my rear to show me the way
His actions and lessons even now help steer through problems day by day
What he has taught is permanently ingrained into my brain
I hope one day I too can become strong enough to take on the strain
Dark days will always come but not matter the length
I know I can get through it with what my father gave me, his strength
